I bought the floats in a hobby store. Can be made of Balsa wood, but they got to be strong and waterproof.
This is how I buildt a model of the Norwegian marine aircraft MF 11 from 1930, produced by Marinens Flyvbaatbabrikk in Horten. Design by Capt. Johan E. Høver. 29 aircraft were built, no one excists today. This model is built in scale 1:10. The materials are mainly wood and plywood.
